6-19-96 (#3)

this was written after a stay in a psych ward…the asshole doctor there (who did not “BELIEVE” in multiplicity) called me crazy and doped us up with anti-psychotics.

Whispers in the dark
Remind me that I’m not alone
Fragments of a mind
Just one soul
Voices I hear
Audible to none by me
(Save for the precious few-
A reservation for those we trust)
You tell me I am crazy
And numb me out
With your sophisticated technology.
I am not insane
Merely represent the wounding
Of a lifetime of blades
Stabbing me in the heart.
