Gazing at the sunset
reflected in your eyes
I see far beyond
the world we know.
Hues of every color
Streak across the sky
Ending yet another day
Of this thing we call life.
Inevitably,
Following an end
Must be still one more beginning
For tomorrow once again
The day will dawn
And birds will chirp
Ushering in renewal.
And we too will have changed-
Nothing ever remains the same.
